Lifestyle Hacks

Our children are being taught all about how to deal with Climate Change  – – – they must wonder what’s taking us grownups so long!

There are plenty of simple changes we can make right now – most of them save money and are good for our wellbeing too.  A look at Kinver’s Carbon Footprint  shows that the main areas to focus on are Goods, Food, Energy and Travel.   The Giki Zero  app can help you work out your own carbon footprint- and next steps to reduce it.

This page covers  Goods and Food.  So, where to start? We suggest:

Goods:  Reduce, re-use, and recycle.  (In that priority order!)    See our map of local recycling points;

Food: Avoid waste, use less animal products (especially red meat and dairy), use food in season.

Our usual stall at Kinver Market collects goods that could help others locally – and see our map of Kinver’s recycling points
