The People’s Emergency Briefing is coming to Kinver!!

 

The recent heat wave has focussed our minds on what Climate Change could mean; and what we could be doing about it. So: Join us on Wednesday 15th July at 7pm at St Peter’s Church Hall for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing – an eye-opening 50-minute film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence on the Climate and Nature Crisis and why it matters for things like:

 

                 -Extreme weather
-Food security
-Health
-Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be an open discussion led by Rev Rich Clarkson about what it means for our community and what we can do locally in Kinver.

 

Other local environmental groups will be at the event to help build support and strengthen links. There’ll be displays of their work and the opportunities to get involved.
