On Sunday 9th June 2024, we held an electric vehicle show at Kinver High School. We had a number of cars, bikes, vans – and their owners – in attendance. Members of the public were invited to come along to look at the vehicles and talk to those showing about what it is really like to live with an EV.

The following topics were covered:

  • What it’s like to drive/ride one
  • Running costs
  • Range/charger anxiety
  • Charging on the go/charging networks
  • EV tariffs
  • Fitting a home charger

It was great to hear so many opinions, from both sides. We wanted this to be a place where people who are considering electric for their next car, or those interested in electric bikes, could get the real deal. Free from sales pitches, owners could be open about what they loved about their electric vehicles and what they might consider in the future.

For those who missed the event, we will share more info on electric vehicles in the future. We also have a running-cost comparison of a Volkswagon UP GTI and a Tesla 3 from one of our contributors.

Let us know if there are other learning events you would be interested in attending.
