Nature
We live in a beautiful area. There’s huge local support for keeping it that way. Our Rivers group samples the Stour regularly, and works with other groups in the catchment to improve the quality of the river and its banks.

5 March: Rev Rich on the Solomon Islands and Climate Change
Our very own Rev Rich Clarkson visited the beautiful Solomon Islands recently, to link with their churches. He particularly looked at how local people can be supported as they face the impacts of climate change. Hotter weather, and sea level rise, will affect them very directly. Come and hear the Rev Rich's thoughts on climate change response - from a fascinating and different view point. Join us at 7pm on 5 March 2026, at the Senior Citizens Club, Legion Drive, Kinver.

Results can be found here, and an inspiring video footage here: The results for our local river, the Stour, and its tributary coming south from Wolverhampton, the Smestow, were not great. Most sampling points showed high...

Kinver Climate Action Group wanted to hold this talk because we know raw sewage getting into our rivers has been a hot topic in the media. This meeting explained the truth behind the publicity and most importantly, the Severn Trent team told us some things that we can control as a...
